Dear Friend,

Chanukah is a holiday that symbolizes the sharing of light with others.

Chabad of Humboldt County is all about sharing the light.

Think of Matthew* who comes home from Bar Mitzvah lessons proud that he is familiar with the letters of the Aleph Bet. Think of Andrew* who has reconnected with thousands of years of Torah learning, through the Chabad’s Adult Education classes or Elaine* who has baked Challah with other women for the first time in her life, with the Jewish Women's Circle.

These are just a sampling of the many people whose lives have been illuminated by Chabad of Humboldt County.

2018 has been an exciting year with adult education classes, a Jewish women’s circle and community programs and so much more! Many more lives have been touched by lifecycle events, hospital visitations and recovery assistance for those struggling with addiction. 2019 promises to be an exciting year with many new programs in the works as we continue to serve the community.

Almost all of our funds come from the generosity of caring people like you who believe in our work and send in donations. I first want to sincerely thank all of you who have supported us in the past. You have enabled us to grow, to thrive, and to really make a difference in our world. Whether you have donated in the past or not, I invite you to help us now in our time of need. Right now we are ending the year a few thousand dollars in the red. I ask you to consider the value of our work to you personally, to our community, and to our world. Please help us begin 2019 in the best possible place.

Remember that all donations received during the month of December are 100% tax deductible for your 2018 tax return.

Chabad  does not charge membership, however  we rely on your generosity to continue the work we do.
